“My plan was to retire from Progress Energy at 55. Well I was 8 months past my original plan of retiring when God had other plans. My wife cut an ad out of the paper for the Camp Oak Hill Facilities Manager. That was not in my plan! Evelyn (my wife) laid the ad on the dresser in the bedroom. I read it, laid it out the way, and dismissed it from my mind. For 2 weeks the ad appeared every night on the dresser where I put my personal things- wallet, keys, change, pocket knife, etc. I didn’t know it but my wife and God were on the same page…you know the rest of the story. God started to let me know that Evelyn was the messenger and I need to listen. Other than marrying Evelyn, Camp Oak Hill is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Camp Oak Hill is awesome at affecting lives for Christ. I love the people that God has put in my path that otherwise I probably wouldn’t have known. Camp Oak Hill is a blessing that I don’t deserve!”
